Delicious, definitely worth a try. Portions looked small at first glance but the meal was very filling. Brisket sandwich was perfect, trying pulled pork next time. Fries were very well seasoned too, good stuff

Are at ‘new’ Gatineau location today with three others. The $11 Mac and cheese with pulled pork $5 was divine. I only ate a third. Two more meals for me! Jerk tacos were hot! Potato salad was really good. Corn bread was good. Bbq chicken breast was a little dry. We were all happy with taste, portion size and amount paid.

We had Tyler and his team cater our wedding and it couldn’t have been a better decision! SmoQue Shack was an absolute hit at our wedding. The fact that the owner also manages our venue made coordination seamless, it took so much stress off our plates. He worked incredibly hard to build a custom, inclusive (and halal!) menu that was not only thoughtful, but absolutely delicious. He came up with creative, crowd-pleasing options that respected our dietary restrictions without ever compromising on flavour or presentation. The staff were lovely, the food was diverse and beautifully prepared, and the whole experience felt super professional. On top of that, the price was absolutely fair, especially for the quality and care we received. I’d go back for the brisket and jerk chicken rolls any day. Zero regrets. 100% recommend.

Grow up, esti. Fancy anglophone review: After mediocre BBQ at a competitors' eight years ago, I started to believe good BBQ wasn't found outside of your own smokers. I had come to believe I would only be spectator to 'BBQ showdown' and one or two documentaries about Pitmasters to have a taste of 'real' BBQ. I despaired that the stringy, dry, and oversauced up beef at ribfest I've tasted over the last two years that never felt right would be my only options as an always online shut-in that comes out of the abyss to wageslave my soul away, and only to get lunch in centretown out of my fluorescent Tomb of corporate north america. Finally. I found somewhere where the brisket could be termed 'good'. Where the smoke ring is a reality rather than a promise. I have no picture. It's all gone, and too good. This place is where the ribs I was served were around an inch thick. (See fig. 1). Gone are the partly excuse for ribs you find at supermarkets, st-hub and dennys. Weep, for the state of the this urban human that marvels at what should be the standard. Then was the jerk chicken. The chicken I've been privy to has always been samey in their taste. But these thick thighs and breasts ARE good to eat with a distinct taste and heat (finally). I have no words for this taste than 'jerk chicken'. Forgive my ignorance on the chicken. Else, good. (See fig.2) As for the pulled pork. It was good. That's it. That's the review. Put it in a sandwich and call it Sally. It's not too wet so you know it's good for some eating out to really get the party going. (See fig. 3) Fries were crunchy and tasty. Potato salad was rustic, which is refreshing from all the grocery store slop I've eaten in the last seven years. French proooobably not mandatory. Bathroom at that time was dirty, else okay, and generic atmosphere. Forgive the double entendre, they sounded funny at the time. Sincerely, Nobody.
